wanna know when someone calls without a phone ringing?

maybe you are in class or at a meeting and you DONT wanna miss a very important call but you dont want everyone to know that your phone is going off.

perfect solution: BluAlert
http://thinkgeek.com/9e31

this little baby bracelet uses Bluetooth technology to buzz discretely on your wrist when your phone rings. Even in the loudest room, or the most boisterous dance-floor, you won't miss it when BlueAlert goes off.

Even better, BluAlert acts like a security device! Once paired with your phone, if it should suddenly find itself more than 5 meters away, BlueAlert buzzes. Not only will you never miss a call, you'll never lose your phone.

Features
  • Bluetooth v1.2, compatible with 1.1, 1.2 and 2
  • Appears as Headset and Hands-Free device
  • 2.4GHz Frequency
  • 3 hour charge time
  • 100 hour stand-by time
  • Resizable neoprene band fits wrists from 7.5" to 9.5" around
  • Bluetooth pairing code "0000" (four zeroes)
only $49.99 ... lol i got one ... shoot ...

so heads up to all who are going to buy, when coming out of the box, the bracelet it pretty big and it took me a while to figure out just how to put it on without stretching it. i dont wear many watches (whats the use when you have a phone) but the clip at the bottom ISNT going to break lol ... it took me a while to figure that one, because it looks alittle fragile.

the important part, adjusting the bracelet to fit your wrist. if you look by the clips, you can see other little holes. if you look at the clip, you can see pins. get something small enough to push them in. the pins are spring loaded, so once you push them in, (this is what i did) pull on the bracelet to make sure that it doesnt lock back in.
when adjusting it, you have to cut off the extras. for me, i cut it all the way to the first hole and it fits fine. i have alittle space to slide up and down my wrist.

but beyond that, it actually does alert when you are too far from your phone, which is extremely awesome considering i misplace my phone or just dont remember VERY OFTEN.

Interesting. But I'll stick to setting the phone in front of me with the "quiet" profile activated. Or vibrate.

hmm...neat concept. i know there are times when i have my bb in pocket, set to vibrate only to pull it out and show missed call prob bc i was moving around at the exact time the bb vibrated with new call.

i'm with josh ^^ would like to see actual usage pics

::edit:: you were too quick! neato! love the concept. is it draining your battery? i don't usually keep the BT on if I am not using it ... drains the batt too quickly.
