Using Eshoplimited.com's BB Stereo Headphones With iPOD

I accidentally crushed my iPOD earphones (don't ask LOL) . I have the BlackBerry Stereo Headset 2.5mm with Ear Gels. The iPOD in question is a 3rd Generation Black 8 GB Nano. On www.eshoplimited.com are two different adapters. Which adapter do I need to order until I can get a new set of iPOD earphones?

    1) BlackBerry Stereo Headset Adapter 2.5mm to 3.5mm OR
    2) BlackBerry Stereo Headset Adapter 3.5 mm male to 2.5mm female

probably #2, as you know the 81xx series uses 2.5mm, and the 83xx uses 3.5mm. Your nano probably has the 3.5 port so you would need 2.5 female to plug into ur eargels, then 3.5 male to plug into ur nano. Im not 100% sure about the size if the port on a nano, but if your 2.5 gels male is too small, this is what you need. Im pretty sure the port in ur nano is one of the two.

The eargels are too small to fit in the ipod so I guess I need to order the 2.5 female to 3.5 male adapter. I have been using the earphones that came with my Sony PlayStation Portable and those fit perfectly both the iPod and BB.

I just received this adapter, the BlackBerry Stereo Headset Adapter 3.5 mm male to 2.5mm female, and the adapter didn't work on the iPod. I even confirmed with eshoplimited.com that these would work with an iPod but I guess they don't.

FINALLY found what I am looking for. http://www.mac-pro.com/s.nl;jsession...&category=7256 This adapter fits any iPod 3.5 mm headphones. So I would need a 2.5mm to 3.5 mm adaptor to fit my earphones with my iPod.

I thought #2 in your original post is what you ordered, a 2.5mm to plug your gels into (female) and a 3.5mm (male) to plug into your I Pod? Im confused.

Yes that is what I ordered but it didn't fit. I think I was sent the wrong item but I'm not gonna worry. I'm looking at upgrading to the 8120 which will have a 3.5 mm headset included so that will work.

I thought the jacks in the 81xx series were 2.5mm. My wife has an 8100 and it is definately 2.5mm. My 8300 has the 3.5mm. I know because my eargels would not fit hers (too large) so we had to order the 2.5mm gels.
