Should I have this much trouble?

    Howdy,
I have a Pearl and just got a Cellink BTG-7000 gps receiver. They pair up just fine, but I'm having a hell of a time getting a GPS signal. Any program I try gives me the same "No GPS signal" error. Once in a while I get a signal and it works pretty good, but standing at my window holding the receiver out the window I should think I'd get a signal. I drove around for 30 minutes today with the receiver on my dash and never locked into anything. Then a little later on I tried it and it worked.

Do I just have a bum brand/unit or am I doing something wrong here? I want this to work badly, but I'm damn close to giving up and getting a Garmin or something like that.

    Thanks for any tips!

    -=Rob

it should work after that amount of time!
when in the car I'm assuming you have it on the dash board.
I have never used that unit, but it should lock on after a few min max.
I recommend emailing the seller and let them know your trouble
Let us know how it works out.

Different GPS receivers perform differently. Did you read and review before purchasing yours? I have no idea how reliable the Cellink BTG-7000 is but others don't have problems with the receivers they're using.
