Hi skidude, welcome to pinstack. I have no idea, sorry. Someone else might.
The date for the Blackberry HS-655 has now moved to 10/27. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the one that will be offered by RIM vs. the Plantronics version? Thanks.
I've been trying to figure that out too. It seems like they are exactly the same...the only difference I can see is the color. The version offered by RIM is black.
However, reading the description for the RIM HS 655, it states that it is optimized for the blackberry.
Hey. I am new here but I can help you all with this. The HS-655 is a RIM customized version of the already infamous Discovery 655. It has firmware and software optimizations to nearly kill all lag time between the phone and the headset and resolve any connection issues. I just bought mine from blueheadsets.com and I love it. He is MUCH cheaper than all the other retailers (especially RIM) and offers a lot of things like 30 day return policy and handling the warranty claims FOR you. I highly reccommend this headset though. Best thing a blackberry owner could buy.
They have an OEM (bulk-boxed) on blueheadsets.com for $89 (not $69).
This item is brand new in bulk packaging. The manufacturer was not able to provide a retail package solution in time for the Holiday Shopping Season.
Anyone other than "celltechy" bought this unit from them? I'm leaning towards this unit but want to make sure that it is legit. I had a bad experience buying a Jabra JX10 from a "discount" store online. It was repackaged and not OEM.
I bought one from them last week. It arrived as expected and was packaged "bulk" as described. It is Blackberry branded and, so far, works well. Incomming sound is very good and loud. Outgoing is very good based on calls to voice mail and comments from callers. I have not had any unplanned disconnects. Pairing was a snap. At times, it takes a couple of tries to connect. Hope this helps.
I had one and it kept disconnecting. Anyone else experienceing this?
I bought one from a reputable ebay seller. He included the ear gels, USB charger, Charging hoslter, etc. (all parts) in bulk packaging for 74.95+5.95 shipping +2.95 insurance (total ~$85) . Wife picked it up as I was on the road and is bringing it to me. Going to test.
User on ebay is: dcwhome and storefront is: Direct Connect Wireless
I choose them based on the following:
100% Positive Feedback POWER SELLER Rating.
* ORIGINAL USA version.
* One-year warranty.
* Buy with confidence.
* Simple return policy.
