    2) The worst fall that my BlackBerry has ever had was off the side of an 86-ton steam train at work. I was leaning out of the side of the cab to look for something on the track and my BlackBerry just slipped ever so gradually from the pocket on my overalls. The device landed just between the two main driver wheels and just missed getting flattened. Other than a little grease, oil, and a few nicks, the device still functions. My eyes were though when I finally jumped out to get it after the train was stopped and noticed how close my BlackBerry was to death.

    1. What series Blackberry do you own and why did you choose it?
I use a 7100 series BlackBerry currently...the 7100i through Nextel...my first BlackBerry was a 7520 a month or two after they came out from Nextel...I quickly became addicted...our company uses a lot of emails so the full sizes keyboard on the 7520 was excellent in that respect...my only complaints about the 7520 were the screen brightness and clarity (once I saw a 7100i !!) and a couple more of the multimedia options.

I finally "sold out" and got a 7100i...my only hesitation about switching from the 7520 to the 7100 series was the keyboard...with the amount of emails I sent in a given day, I was very wary of abandoning my trusty QWERTY keyboard...but I did have a bit of SureType experience on my old i90c phone

After having had my 7100i for about a month now, I'm quite happy...typing takes a bit longer no matter how long you train your BlackBerry (for example the words 'see' and 'are' are both very common and both take the same keystrokes) but overall I'm quite happy with my 7100i

I chose the 8700g. I was a loyal Treo user until T-Mobile quit supportting and carrying the Treo. I have always had a screen saver on my Treo and it really saved me during falls and other mishaps. The 8700g meets all my needs except one...I can't figure out how to put in alpha chartacters when on a phone call.

I have the 7520 (by force not by choice). It was assigned at work but now I am sort of hooked to checking email, browsing the net and trying to figure out how to download cool themes and games. I get bored with a theme after a week or so so I need variety.

I proposed the 7130e but they turned us down. Who wouldn't want a phone that could be a wireless card if they needed it on the fly. One can only hope.

1 I have the 7100i because it's the best NEXTEL has to offer. I am a phone junkie and the features like suretype and blackberry messenger and downloadable themes made it the easy choice. And multitasking (sending texts and web surfing while on a conference call) makes my job bearable. I also prefer scroll to touchscreens.
    2. My blackberry has been droped from the second floor of the imperial palace casino where it bounced off an ATM and came to rest at the foot of a nickle slot machine. The battery went the opposite direction and was found t a cocktail waitress. No damage until later that night when blackberry met martini. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)
