    Problems backing up files, help?

I am trying to update my OS and want to back up first. I can only get part way through the back up process though. It will get to the point where it says
Profiles then I get an error message saying Error Baking Up Database and it won't go any further. I could probably go ahead and upgrade but I don't want to take the chance. DM version 4.7.0.32, phone is 8320 running 4.5.0.81. Any ideas?

Uninstall DM version 4.7.0.32, and download the latest version of 4.6.xxx from T-Mobile / RIM.

    sbrown,

Archer gives you good advice. DM 4.7 seems a bit unstable yet. If you continue to have issues try the advanced back up and select the individual data bases to back up, avoiding profiles.

    Thanks guys,
Tried that, uninstalled 4.7 installed 4.6. Same result. Hung up at same point in the backup too. I even took out the media card to see if that would do it. No change.
Any other ideas or should I just go ahead and try to upgrade OS?

Did you try the advanced back up, avoiding the Profiles database?

    Thanks GaryF,
That did it. Took me a minute to figure it out but everything worked and I have the new OS loading now.

Great news. For some reason I see a lot of posts with failures at the profile data base back up....Enjoy your new operating system

Good luck, sbrown. Help from GaryF and Archer places you in good hands. Keep posting if your upgrade give you any problem.
