    Hi, when i open desktop manager it connects to my BB 8800, on the 8800 for a sec it comes up saying its connected to the pc, however the following dialog box comes up on desktop manager saying:


    Initial Plugin: Veryifing Applications

    Checking the status of the applications on the device.
    This is only required on the first connection of the device to a new desktop installation.

    Connecting to the device (JVM)...

    And it just stays there without doing anything on the computer nor on the 8800.

    Can anyone please help?

    (yes it's the first time i connect the 8800 to the computer but it's already the second time that it just stays there without doing anything... the first time i cancelled it to try again..)

    Try this. Go to ( Settings/Tools --> ) Options --> Media Card and set Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected to Prompt or No.

    That may help. Have you done a battery pull or anything?

    as already stated, if that doesnt work, try rebooting the device and resyncing
