    Question Pretty Please help!

    I have had my pearl since December, Have been syncing fine with Desktop and now when I sync, the hourglass shows forever then finally says error and restarts. Meanwhile desktop says communication error and disconnected. I have already taken battery out an din, started and restarted,,what now??? I restarted my computer as well. Please help me.

    You can try reloading the Desktop Mgr, or installing version 4.3 if you are using an older version of Desktop Mgr

    I can use the upgraded version 4.3 if I AM AN At&T customer? currently I am using 4.2.

    You can get this site to determine your carrier's latest version of Desktop and BB software:

    See if that answers your question. Also, did you make any changes that you can recall between the time your sync worked and didn't. What are you trying to sync? Contacts, calendar, other?

    I went to the website you told me but 4.2 is the latest one it says I can download. That bites

    I am just trying to sync. I usually sync every day because i use it for my outlook calender events from work as well.

    DM 4.2 should be fine. That's what I'm using - I had problems upgrading to 4.3 so I just went back. Any other clues to your problem? Has your calendar data grown to a large size or have you changed any options on the DM? I'm grasping for clues. If you could describe in more detail exactly what happens in each step maybe someone will step in and help. Example: Do you perform the sync successfully or do you get an error in the middle of the sync? What exactly does the error state? Try to be specific.

    Also, you haven't done very many posts so, FYI, it's a good idea to put the topic in the title of your post so when the posts index is read, users know what the problem is. Instead of "Pretty Please Help," for example, try "Trouble syncing with DM 4.2" - that would be informative.

    You can download and use 4.3 if you wish . Follow Hayens post HERE for more info. Now the real quesiton is why did your sync suddenly stop working - do you have any idea what may have caused this?

    I'm withh at&t and I have been using 4.3 since it was released with no problems.I would try upgrading to 4.3 and see if syncing works then.let us know if it works. I think the 4.3 DM is very easy to use and is worth upgrading to. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
