You can ALSO download .jar files directly onto your microsd card using the same directions (creating a new folder, accessing it through Media> Explore>Media Card) and select the .jar file and download it!! It works!!

NOTE: I may have spoken too soon... it works... but it seems like you can only have one jar file downloaded at a time. It's pretty quick to download though and you can still store all your jar files on your memory card!!!

finally a solution for those having problems?

okay so I was searching around and I found this thread, and it seems to be a common thing that some people it works and some it doesn't. Then I found this:
    http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...t=26975&page=2

Apparently you need to have [what I call] firmware of at least 4.2 on your actual blackberry. So if it is not displaying, then you need to get a higher firmware. Apparently only software versions 4.2 and up display the "download" option - which is the last step to get the application to work. So go upgrade your software on your Blackberry [8100 or what ever you have]; by this point you should already have BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.5 (https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22), which is different than the new software you need on your actual phone (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/).

    Hope this helps people!

soo like there was a theme i wanted and it was only OTA or something like that and i really wanted it. But like it doesn't come with a .JAR or anything. soo when you get to your bb to open, there's no JAR to open except the JAD.

    WHat to do?

I have the 8320 and tried this procedure. Worked just fine until during the download process it had an error. It may be because I have a beta 4.5.0.69 installed, who knows but great info!

Do you have enable mass storage mode enabled when connected set to yes in your Options/Media? If so you can't access the media card through Desktop Manager, only through your Windows Explorer. To use DM to access it you need to have have mass storage disabled. either set that option to No or Prompt and select no when you connect.
