    Vista

Talked to a RIM guy (a friend) friday night....he suggested the 4.3 version

May have to get him to come and see me...but would really like to fix on my own! ....sort of anyway!

if you have vista you have to use 4.3. first off, uninstall everything. the software and the device drive (if you don't know how to do that - right click on my computer, then click on manage. you'll see device manager on the left side. click that, then highlight and delete the drive for the phone. it's usually under "other" devices).

once all that is done, restart the computer. reinstall dm 4.3, then plug in the phone. see if that works.
