Can you upload all the OS's to one computer, or do I need to have different users on my PC with a different OS under each User?

If the OS is not for the unit connected it simply wont see it so you should be fine with one PC.

    Ok, Gary...

    Here's what happens currently:

When I hook up another 8830(Sprint or Verizon), it works fine...but when I hook up another Carrier's Blackberry(81xx, 83xx, etc), it will see the phone's PIN, but if I try to add 3rd party apps, nothing specific to an OS, it won't let me add...

I really need to know what the deal is...

I work on people's phone everyday, but if I don't have an OTA link, then I'm up short.

    Any ideas?

just load that persons os for that phone on your pc. the vendor file in the os is what sets the carrier.like at&t phone will not see a tmo os because of the vendor file.

"wont let me add"- what happens when you try?

What is the app(s) you are adding?

I'm trying to add additional apps, like a bible app, basically stuff that doesn't have an OTA link...It tells me that there are no additional apps available...or something like that...

It acts as if what I have either isnt compatible or is already on the phone, when it's not...

Many applications are specific to a unit ( an app for the 8830 may not load to the 8100) It sounds like the applications are not compatible with all of the phones. Can you advise a specific application that is giving you trouble / what BB you can and cannot load it on -- and we can take a look at it?

The No additional Applications for you bb error also appears if you don't have the Handheld Software Package (System and Core Applications) installed on the PC. If you have a TMO version and are trying to add items to an AT&T branded phone and that is what you want to load, you will have to delete the vendor.xml file from the Apps Loader Folder. as a matter of fact you may need to do that since you are trying to load both CDMA and GSM based phones.

    Hope this helps
