It starts together with the Desktop Manager, but when I close this, the Device Manager stays in my system tray! And no way to exit it!

With v4.2, all was ok? Have you got anymore info / solutions?

    Thanks a lot

Re: how do I exit the new Device Manager 4.3?

I just found this problem the other day - and not only did it not exit, but there were 3 sessions running, none of which would shut down during a reboot!

There are actually two processes - BbDevMgr.exe and RIMDeviceManager.exe. They should continue running even when you exit Desktop Manager if your BlackBerry is connected to your computer, but they should exit shortly after unplugging your BlackBerry.

To kill them, hold down [Ctrl] and [Alt] and hit [Esc] to bring up the task manager. Click on the Processes tab, then find the two Image Names noted above, right click on them and select End Process.

No, I don't know how to stop it from happening, or why it happens since it doesn't always happen!
