| Desktop Manager Problem
Ok here is the deal. My Desktop manager works, sord off. It loads up, after i connect my BB to it, its saying that its connected to the manager. But the area where all the options are for sync, ect. is grayed out. I can't select any of the options, they are just not clickable. So i uninstalled it, and tryed reinstalling it, but it gave me an error Error 1316. A network error occurred while trying to read from desktop manager .msi. the application will now roll back, ect. so after it rols back, the funny thing is that desktop manager still stays on the computer. But still i can't click on any of the options when i connect BB to it. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ If you're on a BES you may not be able to use DM at all, depending on policies established by the BES admin. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~also make sure all the registry keys have been deleted. PIN me if you need the locations. Make certain any antivirus software or firewalls are disabled when DLing and installing the software. I have seen it cause issues. Good luck

Strange about it is, that the desktop manager worked fine until recently. I installed the desktop manager on my laptop then which is in the same corporate network under the same secpols and it works. Any solution to this? |

| Re: Desktop Manager Problem
User1313, Are you on a corporate BES also? If I understand this you are trying to sync with two PCs, a Desktop and a Laptop on the same corporate network, is this correct? Is the Desktop PC still connected the Network when you try to sync to the laptop? One thing to try is using a different USB port on the laptop, some laptops have a problem with USB ports and only certain ports will work with the BB. Also you might try disconnecting the desktop PC from the Network or Logging it off when you try to Sync the BB with the Laptop. I'm not the BES expert here so my suggestions may be off base but it won't hurt to try. Hope this helps Rcbjr. |

| Re: Desktop Manager Problem
Thanks for the fix, it was the registry keys for the installer that fixed my problem, which is not the original problem here, mine was opened up DM and it would ask for the blackberry 7250.msi file. This fixed it and just wanted to thank you and let others know this works for other symptoms then the original poster.
