    Desktop Manager for Win XP-64?

I have a new desktop computer which is an x64 (64-bit), and uses WinXP Pro x64 operating system. I have tried to load desktop manager from my BB CD, and from download off the internet. It won't install, saying it needs a 64 bit driver to run it.

Anyone know where I can get the needed driver?

Forgot to mention my current BB is a 7290 (v4.02.49) if it matters.

The OS should allow you to run apps in 32 bit mode. I'd check in the Dewvice manager while your BB is connected to see if it will run the driver in 32bit mode.

XOSOFT would probably solve the problem but why should I buy the software. There should be a RIM driver for it somewhere, but I can't find it..

Yes it will run the software in 32-bit mode but you have to have a 64-bit driver to connect to the BB wih the USB cable.

Desktop Manager for Win XP-64 and BB 7520

I have a BB 7520 that was working well and will connect to my old computer and synch just fine. I just got a new computer with windows XP Pro x64 and have downloaded and installed DM 4.2.0.10 and it will not detect the BB by USB (or any other way). I have searched-looking for a driver, but can't find one. Is there a drver for the BB that will work with a XP 64-bit system? I can't connect to the DM - the computer detects the hardware, but can't find a driver. Help!!

Thumbs down USB driver to connect blackberry with x64 system

I am having the same problem - a new computer that is running XP Pro x64 and I can't synch my Blackberry 7520. The software loaded just fine - won't detect the device. I saw the referral in this thread to the what's new article at xosoft, but it doesn't have anything that solves this problem for me. I read the article but it does not make sense. I have pretty much searched everywhere else and can't find anything. Does anyone have any options or ideas that an end user like me can use? Has anyone found a usb driver for the 64 bit system to synch the BB with DM?

I had XP64 installed on my desktop for a short time. I had the same problems. Somehow to make it work rim needs to make a 64bit blackberry desktop manager. you can physically install it but it will not connect to your device. this is easy to explain because any version of XP will try to run in a compatibility mode if possible and that what it does with the desktop software. this doesn't include drivers. they either work or do not.
