I had the other version SP1 and download and installed SP2 now I have no Media manager icon it is gone, I am using Vista ultimate x64 system, my bb is 8703e / Sprint. Is this normal or am i supposed to have media manager? When i had media manager in the SP1 edition I was not able to use it, it said that my bb does not support this, so I guess I am not missing much. I was wondering if there is a software update for bb 8703e?

Re: did anyone notice new DM SP2?

I don't know how I got so lucky but I just downloaded this new release and left it alone like a lot of you have said already. It downloaded without any problems . Please BE WARNED: If you have a lot of time on your hands, go right ahead and download this thing.....I'm talking Ssssaaallloooooowww . I went to rake leaves, I took a nap.....I've been playing with it to familiarize myself with what it does and the interface is a nice change from what it use to be.

    its all roxio now
You do need to enable mass storage support on your memory card with Roxio.
(i thought we weren't supposed to do this but i guess this has changed)
With storage support you can drag and drop to the blackberry like it was an external harddrive.
Use Roxio to correctly format mp3's, pics, and videos
I've started a Roxio thread as well

the download zip file? Just click the file that you download from Blackberry.
It will unpack itself and do all the work.

Or you could go the harder way and unzip the file yourself and manually install

Yeah, the key is just sittin' back and letting the software do all of the work......it takes awhile though

No the actual player. I installed the DM and clicked on Media Player and have been unable to find the player (I wanted to find out if it looked like the pics you posted in another thread).

Re: Desktop Manager 4.2 SP2 released today

I'm at a stopping point with the new install here.

Downloaded and ran the update but after reboot the sw is trying to install my Pearl again and looking for a 'blackberry 8100.msi'

Is this on my original CD that came with the BB? I can't find it and don't have the CD at the office.

    TIA

    NNy
