    Connecting through the USB cable

    Hello all,
I'm developing an application that is supposed to sychronize data between Blackberry and MS SQL Server 2000, I'm using Pointbase to do the task.
My question is: is there a way to connect the Blackberry to my LAN (in order to synchronize data) using the USB cable? If not, is there any way other than GPRS with which I could connect the Blackberry to a PC on my LAN?
    Thank you

    kreationist, Welcome to PinStack.

Have you tried using the Blackberry JDE simulator to test this. I'm not quite sure what you are asking, but I don't think you can connect to your LAN directly with the current OS. In the past this type of utilization was considered a security risk for some government customers. Are you trying to develop a method to sync OTA? Or is it strictly for USB sync?
