    Communication Error?

"A communication error has occured while attempting to establish a connection to the device. Please reconnect the device to initiate a new connection."

I get this error everytime I try to use the Desktop software. I'm using 4.2.0.14 with a BlackBerry 8100 from Cingular. It only seems to work when I first start my computer. Any ideas?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~you should probably do a clean uninstall of the desktop manager. It depends on your OS as to how your gonna go about it. Here's a helpfull link. http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...sc/pswaplg.png

I've already tried clean install twice with two different versions. My OS is WinXP Pro with SP2. And that link points to an image file just by looking at the link.

To fix this I set it up so it starts when Windows starts and just restart my computer and NEVER close out of the Desktop Manager. It seems to work... If it doesn't, I just restart my computer again. Kind of annoying actually.

    JRM1313, Welcome to PinStack.

I've been told that Vista RC 1 won't work with the Desktop Manger but that RC 2 will.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.
