    I had a Pearl from AT&T can I restore just the address book to a Pearl from T-Mobile, or anything else like themes ect...???

    i'm sure you can select to restore messages and such.. but themes, I dont believe so.

    What especially are you looking for?

    connect the phone to a computer using the USB cable.

    Run Desktop Manager and choose: backup / restore. Click Advanced.
    Select the things you want, and choose OK. It will ask if file should be saved or not. Answer yes

    But Desktop Manager also got a "switch device" option,never used it. But it might also take the servicebooks, so you might want to resend servicebooks after using it.

    yep that's what I did, I restored a Cingular.ipd and got everything I wanted and then just had to send my service books cuz I had like a Cingular Email account icon on there lol thx Sci Fi

    O btw a lot of the ipd backups gave me an error and wouldn't use it but got lucky one of them worked guess cuz it was a LoaderBackup unlike the regular Backup ones I was trying to use. I assume the LoaderBackup is when you have set on automatic backup upon connection? oops my bad I thought I hit edit not quote hehe
