I just don't use it at all. It's more complicated that my gmail address and I made the mistake of using it last time. One wrong use, and it's spam city.

I only give it to my lab techs. I can't view my work email from anywhere other than here. I can't have it sync to my BB (IT dept would flip.) So, like Sokudo, I feel the blackberry addy looks more "professional" than my Yahoo email address.

oh lol, I read the profile to see what provider you have, but didn't scroll down to see the "about me" part that says you work for RIM. Lucky you.

I'm not going to give it out, but I'm planning on replacing my Arch (USA Mobility?) work pager with that address.

I'm sort of waiting to see if I can make it @att.blackberry.net instead of @mycingular.blackberry.net before I make the change and give it to work folks tho..

Oh yea about the BlackBerry.net email. I too give it to customers of mine even though that's a no-no from our Union. As posted earlier. I don't mind, I'm just trying to give my customers a more direct contact to help when they need it. Sitting on hold for 45 mins doesn't make me happy, so I don't want my customers to have to go through that either.

I only give it out to family and friends. I do use it for airline alerts as a travel quite a bit.

The email alerts/updates on flights is great!

I have told like 3 people what is (2 of them blackberry users themselves)
I have Yahoo and Google emails that are just snazzier sounding.

I never give it out. If I ever leave BB, I will loose that address. Like ISP addresses, etc, they come and go. Gmail is the most universal and reliable email I have ever used, and it will follow me no matter what phone/service/etc I have 10 yrs from now.

Re: yourname@carrier.blackberry.net - Do you give it out?

So far, I haven't given it out.

The only use I have for it at the moment is that when my home (landline) phone gets a voice mail, I can have the provider (MCI) auto-forward me a message that someone has left a message. I changed that notification message from my work email to the tmo.blackberry.net address, so I get that notification even if I'm on the road.
