Would you read a book via BlackBerry?

From (The Wall Street Journal) The logic of reading a book on a BlackBerry is pretty straightforward: You have the thing with you all the time, so you might as well make the most of it.

Yes, I would and thanks for the info, this is one of those things that I've been meaning to get around to but never remembered; but I got it now - checking out MobiReader. Thanks!

Sure... I already use Encyclopedia of American Cinema on Mobipocket. Works great.

    Olive Tree

I use Olive Tree Bible reader on my Curve (I have used it for my past 3 BlackBerrys...I'm sure I get strange looks in church when I use it..."He can't put his BlackBerry down, even in church"! LOL. The software is free and a few version of bibles are free...just Google Olive Tree.

Ya. My eyes just aren't what they used to be. Idk if I would want to read an entire book from my bb.

Yes I have. Read World War Z. I keep books and short stories around when I get stuck at airports. I use Mobipocket and adjusted the type font and size for my old eyes.

My company released a couple of Bibles for the phone (NKJ and NC) and so far people really enjoy having the whole Bible on their BlackBerry. I find it easy to use and, with the bigger text size, my eyes don't get as tired.

In addition to always having my BB with me and convenient (no carrying around a book 'just in case'), a lot of books seem to be easier to find in e-book format than in printed format - so I wind up doing a lot of reading on my BB. I do make the font size larger which leads to lots of scrolling, but not to the point of being intolerable. Mobipocket is one of my favorite BB apps! (I just wish it worked with the firewall)

I used DailyLit for awhile. It was good for getting bites of books in your e-mail, and has a lot of stuff to offer for free.
