In most advertisements the screens of electronic devices are simulated. Nothing more. This was an oops by someone. (I guess they are not a BB person yet. Just give 'em time)

I hope its nothing more that someone's idea of a bad joke. I tired the BlackJack 2 for two week it was running WM 6, worst two week I had problems way to many to list. RIM will have to add more than 155+MB of memory to its unit. Windows loves to use memory. My 8310 with only 54MB runs faster than any of the WM units I've seen. Don't do it RIM.

I don't think this idea would work. And not from the sense that some people don't like WinMo. Obviously even with the bugs it has Microsoft has built a "tiny" empire off the products they produce.

I think its a bad idea because RIM's phones have a form factor that are designed to work for the OS they have created. Palm tried to do this and honestly I think it sunk their business along with not refreshing their handset design. A more successful company HTC has done an amazing job building phones that work around the OS they use and as a result they are the number one distributor of phones that carry the WinMo OS.

Certainly you would be able to do different things on your BlackBerry. But ultimately the phone is defined by the OS it uses. So I guess it could work for the people out there who say "I would love to have the BlackBerry form factor, but I need it to run Windows". Seems like a pretty unlikely statement to me, and pretty unlikely RIM would ever do this, they certainly don't need to.

i've always thought stuff like this was weird.

just this morning i was reading Outside Magazings summers buyers guide, (camping, tents, gps, stuff like that), and one of the must haves was the tmobile 8320 blackberry. the picture was of a tmo blackberry with tmo branding, but it had an att theme with the att name for the service on the screen. how does that even happen?!

That said, yes, there ought to be a media player for BB -- but Realplayer and Windows Media Player are just about the worst, from many points of view.

There does exist a proven, multi-platform solution that would be my choice: VLC.
If you don't know it, have a look at videoLAN.org
I love VLC player. Is there a mobile version? That would be perfect.

Unlocked T-Mo phone with an ATT sim card...loaded vendor theme 102. Actually would not be that hard to duplicate.

Lol, that's just wrong. Why put the horrible WM OS on a reliable BB?

I work at RadioShack and there was an email sent out saying that they made a mistake on the flyers, the screen was supposed to go on a blackjack2 but they had a mix up and it ended up on the curve. so put your minds at ease and don't worry about windows mobile ever comming to a blackberry.

just had a funny thought about the picture....wonder if someone in their marketing department decided to do this thinking it was funny or something....ya know wondering how many people would actually see the error like they do in some movies ya know......
    just a thought :-)
