Windows Live Messenger 2.1.32 working for me but with a few flaws/bugs.

Online/Offline list is not accurate. Chat works with contacts I know to be online but WLM thinks are offline.

I can receive files sent to the phone but no option on the phone to send files.

You have to send it through a conversation window, press menu button and pick "send file" it then asks you to choose from :Picture, File, Voice Clip, or Contact. i have sent pictures already!

It is Wifi compatible. I have used it numerous times with my gsm radio off and wifi on ( i turn it off when im chatting to overseas family on MSN so incoming calls dont interrupt.

    Thumbs up Read

if your using Googletalk, apparently a specific version of that messes up the WLM.

    Remove google talk, remove WLM

pull the battery in the device
Once it boots up, download WLM messenger again, and try again.

Thanks so much for this info. I've been trying to get this to work for a while. I tried doing it OTA from the site and I couldn't even get the link to show up. When I went to the Pinstack homepage, Hayden's post was cutoff and it wouldn't load anything after the picture he had. I tried going into the forum and DL'g from there and alwys got stuck at a page for Active X.

    Everything is working great!

I get unsupported device. I'm using OS 4.5.0.46, and Desktop Manager 4.6. Do I need the DM at all for this?? Should I download it directly from my BB??

I pulled the battery out again, and restarted it - just completely forgot about it for a day ... then noticed this morning it was on my menu (I'm using the Today + theme) and started 'er up perfectly fine. Downloaded and up and running.

Maybe just give it some time - I have no idea, but I'm ready to rock!

I am amazed at my battery life with messenger. When running jivetalk by the end of the day I would be down to 20 or 30%. With messenger on after 12 hours of a workday I am only down to 70%.
