I am definitely a MSN messenger kinda guy. In fact I got my blackberry just because I wanted to have it with me at all times. But it wasn't available
So.. I got JiveTalk .. And now that it actually works I don't care for it at all. With JiveTalk I get all my IM programs all in one. Go figure.. Hahaha ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Any wifi support or must have a data plan?
I have a 8100 pearl; it didn't work for me....Oh well!
VZW 8130 'Device not supported'
Try going back to the first page. There are some alternative links there. You have to go to the link using IE from a PC, then plug in your BB and it will install the software device.

Before downloading Windows Live™ Messenger for your BlackBerry® smartphone, check to see that you meet the below requirements:
- Smartphones supported: BlackBerry® 7130e, BlackBerry® 7250 and BlackBerry® 8703e from Bell Mobility, BlackBerry® 8800 from T-Mobile USA
- 300 kB (300000 bytes) of free memory (Go to Options -> Status to find your device's free memory)<LI class=linked>A Windows Live ID, MSN ID or Microsoft® Passport account (visit https://login.live.com/ on your desktop browser to sign up for a Windows Live ID)
- BlackBerry data service
- If your device is connected to a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, your IT Department must have IT Policy set to allow Windows Live Messenger functionality
Humm I currently have a Bell Mobiltiy 8330 and all windows messengers work perfectly, but right now I am running the beta since its 10x better

Oh well, gotta wait as usual!
TELUS 8130 - clicked the link, e-mailed it, OTA.... nothin's working.
Says "device does not meet system requirements". I've got enough mem, batt pull & restart prior to downloading it - NOTHING!
Best of Luck!
