Try these settings if youre having problems logging in:
    Under server settings.
    protocol: leave at native
    host: im.webmessenger.com
    host 2: leave alone
    Port: 1717
    Time out: up to you

I made these changes and was able to login.
This worked for me, & I'm on Telus.
Question: does anybody know if you can login into an IM client but stay invisible? I notice you can't see who's online until you login & then you can't make yourself invisible. I can do that with Pidgin on my PC.
    Thanks!

Re: WebMessenger Announces Free Business-Class Mobile IM for BlackBerry

I got it installed OTA.... Got my account and password set up just fine. Logged in and everything worked. The only problem is, when I am not in my local service area (Edmonton) it won't connect at all. Since Telus is iDEN there is no tcp/ip or APN settings. Any ideas how to get webmessenger running when roaming?

    agree with AloneSoul
msn on gtalk is better (jabber way)
but only few d/c with webmessenger
    useful when jabber wont connect

jivetalk is better than webmsgr but not free =)

Downloaded it, have been using it since, it is a good application, sometimes it stops responding and automatically closes though (like if I spend too much time talking on the phone), however I have found it to be way better than the OZ application at&t offers to it's customers. I'm very visual and would like a prettier interface with features like being able to see contacts' display pictures but other than that it is good.

Pidgin...I'm looking for a mobile version. I know there's a Pidgin Portable from sourceforge.net but I'm not able to OTA it. Can anybody help?
