Update 29/11/2008: URL via BB should be m.vtap.com/index.html

Last month we posted a feature on vTap video browser & player which was followed up by an interview with Veveo's VP Daren Gill. Yesterday we received an email from Daren to be shared with PinStackers...

Hayden,

We just wanted to let you know that we have a solution for the Blackberry 4.3 software release. Blackberry users can point their browsers to m.vtap.com to get the vtap video experience. There is no client involved and Wiki is not enabled, but we are getting really positive feedback from this open xhtml experience.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I just tried it and got wiki again. All the link gave me was the same verdion of the app I had previously installed. I was really looking forward to an improved vtap.

i got it to work. an awesome program if i want to find non-scolarly BS information on history and names

How did you get it to work? When I click on the video resolution "high" "low" etc it does nothing!

Hello all. I work for Veveo Inc. who provide the vTap service. Thank you for all of the interest in vTap.
I see that a number of you are having a problem where you are still gaining access to only our Wikipedia application. Only newer BlackBerry phones (Operating system version 4.3) support RTSP streaming thus, only these phones will be given access to the Webclips Application. All other phones will be redirected to the Wikipedia Application.

I hope this helps with any confusion which is occurring.

The vast majority of BB users are running on OS 4.2 and earlier... this is a bad oversight by vtap.
