Verizon Vows to Have Pre By Early Next Year
Remember back in June when Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam said they'd have the Pre within 7 months? At that time, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said that while Sprint and Palm had agreed not to disclose the terms of their exclusivity agreement, he assured us,"it's not 6 months". Cnet.com announced today that during a call to discuss the company's Q2 earnings, COO Denny Strigl let it slip that the company would most assuredly carry the device by early 2010, that was supposed to be Palm's saving grace in the mobile device field. This was the silver lining in what was otherwise bad news for investors as profits dropped by a whopping 21%. So while we may never be able to speculate as to when Verizon will pickup the iPhone, we at least have an estimate on the Pre hitting Big Red's shelves.

Will it be WiFi enabled? Will Palms App Store be the preferred delivery method or will it somehow tie to Verizon's new Store Plans?
I can't wait to see what happens next in the Cell Phone Soap Opera.
Considering that sprint and verizon both said they will now require wifi in all its smartphones, I would guess when the palm pre hits the big red it will have wifi. My question is will be 4G ready, seeing as verizon claims to be getting 4G ready for 2010 in some markets.

Can't believe it took them as long as it did to realize how much consumers want Wi-Fi in their devices. Offical word is Baltimore and Seattle will be the launching points for the 4G.

2010 should be a great year.
