I can't get a download link for this. When I go to go.travelchannel.com, select 3. Mobile App Download, and then any carrier, I'm told to just use Travel Channel GO using my web browser.

No love for the Alltel people, but I bookmarked the site....looks cool

Just DL'ed it. Will play around and see how it works. Looks like a neat app.

I will download this, I love the travel channel.
I'm a huge fan of both Anthony Bourdain's: No Reservations and Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern
I wonder if this application could tell me local odd eateries as well....? I'll report back with any info

I downloaded it and seems pretty cool. Would be cooler if I had a GPS enabled BB but I'm with tmobile. I actually used it more then the new Vlingo software since that only works when I'm on UMA. Anyway, Travel Channel go is worth checking out.

Anyone have a direct link to the download? I can't seem to get to it on my 8330...

Instant geocoding (long, lat) for my location via Zipcode is pretty cool
(dang Verizon GPS lockout)
The User Interface is really great.
I am going to take some time and really get nitty gritty with this application.
Kudos to Travel Channel for this neat application.
Any other users, feel free to add me within the app, my user ID is jllama

Going to assume a data plan is needed?

Yes, data plan required.
The only improvement I would currently suggest would be with the maps. The ability to zoom in and out would be nice.

lol, good stuff.
I like how it evens brings up info about certain places, almost like a psuedo browser. Some places have pics and so forth, you can then use your menu key to call the location (such as restaurant etc...)

Looks like its based on the mobile.earthcomber.com system. I think the Travel Channel version is a little snazzier
