from whaqt i have been told no cdma blackberrys are ever carrier locked if this is so we should be able to get it and take it anywhere just no contract so paying for it all out

no unlock cost verizion and sprint should be no prob they will need to change the network thats what the sprint rep told me even gave me the codes they use to popen uo the phones services

BoyGeniusReport reported that this is just marketing rumors... all lies... how would VZW and RIM release this model when its been taking the Bold 6 months + to even launch in the US?? We've even barely heard about the "Storm". i agree with BGR that this is just a ploy to compete with the upcoming release of the Bold with AT&T. i bet we won't see the Storm for a while.

The internal memo leak pushes the upgrade date of Nov 1st, I'm crossing my fingers for then, who knows how BGR gets his info and comes up with his info. He gets kind of salty sometimes anyways.

I'm assuming like so many other did with the Bold, buy it from whoever and just unlock it to work on other networks??
