I really do not think this is going to happen. If it did we can all agree it will be the end of the blackberry as we all know and love. Rim is really profitable right now and really do not need microsoft coming up there are ruining a wonderful thing! ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Blackberry for life...
Had the same experience with a Samsung Blackjack... returned it within 10 days and went back to my BB. There is no comparison... BBerry just works, all the time... Windows Mobile... well not so much.

Back on the topic... I remember saying, back when they introduced the Pearl, that we would probably see RIM pushing more and more consumer-oriented devices, not so much to get into the market, but more for how they would then look to a prospective buyer... oh well...

when there's a buyout happening, it's usually the losing company being bought by the winning company. In this market, RIM is killing MS. They aren't going to be bought by MS. But I agree with the earlier post, I'd love to see Google and RIM team up more and\or merge.

Maybe this will make the calenders a bit better....I don't like it so much but maybe it is a good thing. Microsoft might can make BB's even better without it being just like their current smart phone.

Lets see I am OLD but not senile yet, from my understanding Blackberry is comprised of allot of former Apple engineers, now if I am wrong than I'm wrong, but if I am CORRECT , than WTF, let me say that again WTF would blackberry want to do any thing with Micro$uck and totally screw things up ?

Also remember when the IPhone came out and the bald headed eagle Steve Balmer said that M$ would never ever get into the cellphone or PDA business. !!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I am concerned this is all a rumor bunch of hype

The calendar is just fine..... Microsoft has never improve on something. They just absorb and copy someone else..... Microsoft very foundation is not innovative at all...

Re: So i spoke with a microsoft employee..

Remember that RIM is going to let Microsoft OS phones have BB service on them. Microsoft and RIM are actively involved in business. RIM is opening offices in Bellevue, WA... I believe in the same building or next to the same Building Microsoft just leased.

I doubt it's a buy-out but they are now partners.... I hope it goes no further than this!!!
