That means that Rim would move away from the Java environment to bloatware take 110 mb windows OS.....

I've had 3 of the windows phones ?71 has available. And you wanna talk about "vendor manipulation"... The provisioning from verizon locked up just about all the real goodies on the other phones. I'm saying now, BB should buy out microsoft. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I am not so sure we should be calling the BBs stable. The windows mobile phones might be worse, but RIM has a long way to go to make BB truly stable.

I agree that everything has its problems. Just today I got the hourglass of death, and had to wipe. But as a person that had to write code to get my WM phone to play an .avi that it should have natively. Ill stick with something that I've got good support, and good people to get info from. To me its the diffrence between a Honda and a Chevy. Both share a similar following, but only one has my vote.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Ha, I'm not worried like the report said "I can't even count the number of times we've heard that over the last three years.''

Until it happens I wouldnt worry....

you're not thinking this through. Sometimes businesses lik MS will buy their businesses to steal some technology and then to do away with their biggest competition. This would not be good! If Microsoft buys RIM, get ready to push the Ctrl-Alt-Del buttons on your future blackberry.

That is the most frightening thing I have heard. Can you imagine having a Company with the stated purpose of indexing everything on the Net and making a proffit from targeted ads having total access to all your data communications using the BB? And this is a company that also agrees to Censor Access to infomation when asked.

Do no evil is just words.

    Not me.

I have read the posts and i agree a sell out to Microsoft is unlikely, however as a business strategy the best time to sell is when stocks are high. RIMM stock split and is still on what 85.50 as of today. Times are good, best time to sell.

RIM being in talks with M$ ?! well, according to what i heard, only reason for this happening is because RIM is developing a blackberry connect software that would run on windows mobile phones. So I heard. I dont think it'd be the other way around.
