Nothing Here in Venezuela... the answer given by my service provider is "we are working as hard as we can to restore the BB service trough the morning" odd fact as the isuue is at BB HeadQuaters.

This is going to sound REALLY odd, but I don't think my service went down at all last night. I was receiving e-mails all night. Actually I had 9 when I woke up (all spam of course)

And here I was hoping it'd be dead all day.

Ah, well. Less complaining from the users this way I suppose.

My device lost coverage at 8pm (oddly, it was an email from Pinstack), but came back up by about 9:40am.

Service seems to be coming back sporadicaly at this time - 3 in my group have coverage, one doesn't, but we're all on Cingular and in the same room. Other users on different carriers are reporting the same thing.

Thankfully, management sent out an email letting people know about the outage, so we've gotten only a few calls about it.

Hmm... We got this from our Cingular rep about an hour ago:

"UPDATE: RIM reports that they turned a throttling feature off at this time. This has allowed all connections to be established again. There are large amounts of queued messages at customer BES. Downgrading to SIR 2 until latency in delivery has cleared"

So it looks like they got enough of the backlog out that they can open up the floodgates a little. Delays will probably continue for the rest of the day I think.
