    Review: New Viigo With Free Local Listings Service (3.0.4.39)

    Advertisement

    Viigo RSS Feed Reader. This program is probably by far one of the most innovative apps developed for mobile devices. Viigo gives you the ability to have the news or information that you care about the most right at the tips of your fingers. What is an RSS Feed you asked, well simply put it is real simple syndication. A lightweight, XML-based format for feeds of information. Generally used for information that is updated on a regular basis, such as news headlines, although it is very flexible and can be used for many types of information. Because it is lightweight and generally more efficient than a full web page (or even a mobile page), it is ideal for mobile devices where bandwidth and screen size are limited. RSS-reader software is available for most smart phones. (Definition from phonescoop.com)

    With Viigo you can pull up information about sports, news, weather, entertainment, etc
    Recently there has been a new upgrade to the viigo service (version 3.0.439) there have been a few new channels that have been added. It seems like with every update the focus and enhances certain features and channels (like last time it was sports).

    While playing around with the new version I have noticed the local interest section. It has really caught my attention especially with the capabilities you have on there. I am a huge fan of craigslist, and you can connect to craigslist. It’s great. I’ve been searching for houses in Orlando (since I’ll be moving out there soon), and puppies (for a Christmas present for my son).
    There are a few other great goodies under the local interest section such as traffic and transit. Get bus schedules (for Canadian users) or find out what’s going on with the traffic in your area (UK support and US Support-48 cities). I really enjoy the US traffic section for al my travels to Orlando and back, I can figure out what route I need to take to get to and from work, or even to get to all the shopping malls for Christmas shopping, or even visiting my brother.

    The list goes on with the local listing in the latest version of Viigo such as emergency news updates and services (earthquake monitoring, fema, fireshomeland security etc for all the U.S users).

    Viigo RSS Feed reader really simplifies life, You can stay on top of the lates news, scores, and weather.This is definitely a must have application especially for people on the go. I’m hardly at a place where I can just sit down and read a newspaper or peridocal or magazine. Well with this app why worry about any of that, whenever you have a free minute to sit and relax or just some time to stop and take a breather open viigo, and stay on top of yor world. you can get the new update by heading to:

    Nice review, Jonny. I upgraded yesterday and am still "playing" with it.

    I agree with this statement, .440 is already out. In fact, I got it from a previous pinstack article!

    .440 seems to be a sponsored version of viigo. If you just go to getviigo.com you'll get the .339 version. I am assuming that its only getting the "pinstack sponsored" version you'll get the .440 one. That link should be getviigo.com/pinstack or something similar.

    I have deleted viigo even though its a great app. But when it sucks down about 5mb worth of data on my curve that only has about 16mb after a fesh install, I just can't do it.

    440 = 439

    hey guys, 440 is the same as the 439, if you are on any previous builds you should upgrade.

    thanks.
