    Opera Mini Beta 5 Released

I just saw a tweet from BlackBerryCool that Opera has released a new beta for Opera Mini users, beta 5. This is a really different version of Opera Mini with some nice new features like speed dial bookmarks, tabbed browsing, password manager, and a complete UI overhaul. Head over to Opera's site for full details or to just get right down to browsing point your BB browser to http://m.opera.com/next

Just a note, on my 8330 running 4.5 it said it was not verified to work on my device and suggested version 4, but the option to download beta 5 anyway is still there and it seems to work well for me.

I haven't used Opera in a while, but I think it will be here to stay now...I'm really liking the improvements.

That's funny that they warned you it is not verified to work even though they show it on a Storm lol, glad it's working for you though

Ok, one big negative for me, all links default to opera mini, if I try to open a link from an email, or from a tweet in socialscope or twixtreme, it opens with opera only. To open in bb browser you need to copy the link then paste it into your BB browser...that's a PITA...hopefully there's an option or setting somewhere to change this...if anyone finds it please post it!

The My CP is showing so you must be logged in.

I can't post on pinstack from opera 5 though. The submit button can't be highlighted/clicked.

Also when I was typing a post and hit delete key to erase a typo it erased almost my whole sentence even though it was one click...

That's why its a beta, fun times

I hate to say it, but after downloading this on my 8900 and doing a reboot, it bricked my phone. I finally just brought it back from the dead. Download at your own risk. It is a beta. Just sayin...

I was tempted at first - glad I got sidetracked until now. I think I'll pass on this one and let you pioneers work it out. I just "cleaned out" my 8330 (again) and gained some much-needed free memory.

I just downloaded beta 5.0 for my tour and it malfunctioned to the point I had to delete it and reboot my phone, I am a opera fan but I can wait for them to work out all the kinks on this version before I try and download it again.

I tried to install and got that dang IT policy error, oh well I'll just wait until the kinks are worked out of it, now I just hope the uninstall doesn't brick my phone.
