    The Blackberry 8707v will be launched on May 29th 2006! The website www.blackberry8707.com was created since end of April for this Launch party. The site can be read in German however it's hosted in the UK. Rumor has the Blackberry 8707v equipped with and updated v4.1 Blackberry OS! - More

    Cool, I wonder when will it be available in the States, I'd get the 3g 8700 instead of the 8700g!

    Unfortunately this cannot be unlocked to use data here in the States. From what I hear, HSPDA in europe is in the 2100Mhz band. From the looks of it, it can be used for voice though.

    As far as updated 4.1 software, all I know of so far, is the inclusion of official RIM Today software, much like the 3rd party today apps are, except this is built into the OS. Also, this is RIM's first 3G bb overseas.

    I do not see why not it has to have a gprs radio in order to use 3g.. plus if you look at the 3g install cods they are all the same as the gprs with the exception of a few more
