    Global smartphone shipments jumped 30% year-over-year during Q4 2009, the industry’s fastest growth rate since Q3 2008. Sales were driven higher by strengthening economic confidence and an improved range of feature-rich models launched by multiple top-tier brands. Apple outgrew its major rivals, while RIM achieved double-digit shipments for the first time. Nokia was a surprise package, shipping record volumes as demand soared for its Eseries lineup.

    I'm thinking Motorola's numbers will climb again this year with their focus on Android phones now. Loving the competition though, my mind is completely open for my next device. I refuse to play a fangirl roll and insist that any one platform or manufacturer is "the one" to have. They all have their pros and cons. Right now I'm loving my Droid, but who knows what my next temptation will be
