just saw a commercial for tonight's news and this app was on there and people are "concerned" about this being a privacy issue.

uh.. here's a thought.. don't add anyone that's insane. people are acting like there's no way around being detected on this app.

if you really don't want to be found, here's another thought.. DON'T DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE APP.

it takes so many steps for you to even begin allowing people to detect you on here. don't tell me there's someone dumb enough to go through all of it and end up saying this app is dangerous. might as well fly to the midwest, find an old school bear trap in an empty field, and stick your arm in it. same thing.

Verizon has crippled everything related to GPS unless they have "tested" it or want it to work. VZ Navigator works fine, but only after making a call to them so they can unblock it. They JUST (within the last few months) unlocked BBMaps so it would work with the gps. With VZ Nav it's just another way to get more money since they charge for the app. Soon enough they will let Google Maps work, but not soon enough cause I really miss that app working. Triangulation SUCKS if I do say so myself.

Once you've used GPS I have to agree but, if you don't HAVE GPS or it's not available on your phone, triangulation is better than nothing if you're lost in a strange city.... and it's free.

I finally got to check out the app for myself and it really isn't any privacy issue at all people just like to spread paranoia. Not only can you hide yourself, but you can hide yourself from just certain people, or even fake your location for just certain people. And like whitePearl said if anything, don't install it or uninstall it.

    Google is just awesome =)
