No, tower triangulation. (Provider option only.) Triangulates w/local towers.

Well, I just installed that new google map thingy, turned my GPS on and the google maps still says "GPS temporarily unavailable." Why??? the GPS works with BB maps!!!

+ Works well so far. Pictures show up. location is updated for all my buddies frequently.

Another way for jealous g/f's to check on their bf's and vice versa.

Or for wives who are married to cops to ensure that they are safe. Or to know when they are busy on a call and to not bug them!

I and my wife are trying it out. It took a while to set up...I had to create a gmail account for her. Not really seeing the "real-time" thing. She left 12 minutes ago and google still has her in the driveway. Nice update for google though. Thx Hayden!

It uses cell towers, so if she isn't close to one it will stick her location to the closest one available.

Well I downloaded and installed on 8330. Had to drive to home town this morning. Logged in to see my location update...what I got was me traveling in the opposite direction. ??? When I first log in to maps it shows my location as being in the center of the river, despite changing my actual location.??? Anyone?

The new feature Latitude is not always on with this version, you could enable and disable it at any time.

I am feeling a little...no a lot frustrated with this google map thing. Would someone please guide me along in "map orientation" and why my location is showing me in the middle of the river on my phone, but at the correct location on the website. Thanks in advance
