I agree that this is cool and not so cool. This will help in case of emergencies, etc., but yes, be careful who you give access to. Pretty soon, we are all going to be tracked somehow whether we want to be or not. (Now I know why Dale from King of the Hill is so paranoid, lol).

I am not sure how I feel about this.
Could be used for things that go against Google's "don't be evil" mantra.
From a technology stand point, it's pretty darn cool though.

its a good application, just use your internal judgment and common sense. I for 1 hate when i am looking for a location where my friends are waiting and for the life of me i can't find the place. This is a good way of finding where to go if your friends are already there.

You know how it is in NYC, NYC has a lot of hidden streets and sometimes you can't find them.

I and my wife are trying it out. It took a while to set up...I had to create a gmail account for her. Not really seeing the "real-time" thing. She left 12 minutes ago and google still has her in the driveway. Nice update for google though. Thx Hayden!

    Google Latitude

Well I downloaded and installed on 8330. Had to drive to home town this morning. Logged in to see my location update...what I got was me traveling in the opposite direction. ??? When I first log in to maps it shows my location as being in the center of the river, despite changing my actual location.??? Anyone?

how much signal do you have ? not that GPS is related to your cell signal...but if you in a poor area the GPS can't send the signal out

I have this issue with my Garmin GPS unit...sometimes it connects right away...but if I am in a building it wont connect....
