i just hope hillary steals the nomination from the scrub, at least she wont flip flop as much

Hahahaha!!!! Yeah, I get it, Hussein! Like that dead guy, Saddam, right?

    ...........

Come on man, elevate the conversation. I don't know anyone that picked their own middle name. Do you?

Bush is relevant because he is the sitting President. And McCain, who used to oppose a lot of the Bush administration's policies, seems to have come around and decided that Bush's ideas ain't so bad... That's not flip flopping? Ohhhh, that's just changing his mind...

    Gotcha.

I didn't create this thread for political debate (although I figured it would happen) ... so let's keep on topic

I want to apologize right now- I really got sucked into the political responses, and kinda went on a tirade. Sorry guys.

I do think that we will see more Presidents in the future who are comfortable with technology- Hell, I was shocked that Bush had an iPod. That's not a dig at him- I know a few people 15-20 years younger than him who don't have iPods...

So to see a candidate that has a Berry is refreshing. I would find it just as interesting if McCain had a Berry.

You can't really compare the two, barack flipflops and contradicts himself on a daily basis, mcCain agrees with bush concerning tax cuts and winning the war, not just and immediate pull out that obama was promising a few months ago but now he's saying something else. I just don't understand why he (obama) so appealing if he was white with his history he's had he'd would not even be considered. I hope mcCain rips him a new one during the debates. I know I could if I had the opertunity.

Voting for someone because they use a BlackBerry...that's ok, just forget about the issues at hand - a tech saavy President is MUCH more important. Most stackers are smart enough to make an informed decision fortunately.

Wikipedia article on the Electoral College

The Electoral College is a body of 538 popularly elected representatives who formally select the President and Vice President of the United States.
Rather than directly voting for the President and Vice President, U.S. citizens cast votes for electors. Electors are technically free to vote for anyone eligible to be President, but in practice pledge to vote for specific candidates[1] and voters cast ballots for favored Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates by voting for correspondingly pledged electors.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution states:
Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

Obama's presidential (also IMO) because he's smart, knowledgeable and doesn't embarrass the US when he speaks in public like our current president does. At least he's qualified - not everyone who runs or is elected is qualified.
How much do you actually know about him? How is he more qualified? What has he accomplished? Other than "change" what does he being to the table? Not all change is good, make sure you know what direction you are headed in. Do not put your blind faith in someone you know nothing about. Do some research besides just listening to the news.

Not really a fan of either McCain or Obama. Whoever the winner is later this year the United States still has/will have double standards on foreign policies, especially in the middle east.
