Is America ready for it's first Blackberry President?

The next U.S. president could shape cybersecurity, government research initiatives, intellectual property laws, and wired and wireless communications services in ways that affect both enterprise IT executives and average citizens. Yet some experts say he could handle all this without having Twittered, texted or even used a PC, although his familiarity with information technologies might strongly affect his policies.

Much has been made in the media of a seemingly wide gulf in tech smarts between Republican John McCain, who has described letting his wife handle his computer tasks, and Democrat Barack Obama, who has appeared on video using a BlackBerry while walking down the street.

President George W. Bush has been ridiculed for talking about rumors on "the Internets," but only one other president has even been in office in the age of the Web, laptops and ubiquitous cell phones.

I agree, but not someone who is wishy-washy! I would much rather have someone who's "yes" would be "yes" and "no" be "No"...not looking good so far.

Don't forget it's politics and, unfortunately, telling the truth in a campaign is sometimes a sure formula for defeat. We have a lot of ignorant people in this country who won't vote for what's really good for the USA. (no stackers, of course! )

Is there any evidence he uses it for something other then phone calls, or that he actually manipulates settings himself? lol, I have a pic of me holding a sledge hammer, doesnt mean I know how to use it.
It takes many professionals versed in many different area's to help the masses, I am just a single drop in that pool.

    ^^Thats great!

I agree that whats best for the USA may not be an easy choice, but sometimes thats the way it is. The important part is that you make a choice and vote! If you don't then you have no reason to fuss about the outcome!

Yes! and Obama is a SMART man who is interested in this country as well as world affairs - I'll bet he even reads his own news unlike some presidents - and communicates brilliantly. Keep your fingers crossed and remember, whoever is elected, regardless how good they are, is inheriting the biggest mess we've ever seen.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~having seen and met both men running for President. These are not the times to give your support based on use of a Blckberry (keep in mind Paris Hilton has been seen using one too). Listen to what they say, make sure they are saying the same thing to others as they do to you. Don't assume they are just saying what they have to just to be elected. In the end many are lied to, it might be you. Better to have a what you see is what you get. Know where your canidate stands before you vote and please vote. Wish we could vote using our Blackberries.
