    Hi all!

I'm using BB 8830 in Europe (Ukraine) and have certain problems...
I want to share the experience of installing ICQ client.
I've tried several different clients... no luck.
Problems with connection, java errors etc.

I found something working - it was 'instango' http://www.instango.com/
    IT's FREE! :-)

Procedure of installation is pretty easy!

    1. Click on instango site 'Get started'
    2. Pass registration steps
    3. Download Instango (to your PC)
    4. Install .jar-file to your bb http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...with_dm-2.html
    5. Launch it!.. It's ready for YOU!
    6. You just have to enter some info from registration on instango.com, and UIN/password for ICQ

    Cheers

    Are you sure it's free?

Why does it say you get 40 Free Minutes or 10 Free SMS for signing up?

I'm using this soft for a few days (only as an ICQ client)! I'm paying only for GPRS traffic!! I'm SURE! :-)

BeeJive's "JiveTalk" is a fantastic instant messaging (IM) client that supports virtually every IM service you can name (including ICQ), and it connects to them all at the same time - it's not free, but worth every cent and they offer a unique type of (software) license that can be transferred between multiple devices (eg. If you buy a new BlackBerry or otherwise compatible device in the future)...

From a previous post of mine:

    "JiveTalk by BeeJive - 1.0.5
    * Computer and OTA: http:// www . beejive . com
    * Computer and OTA (clickable): http://www.beejive.com
One of the best instant messaging (IM) clients available for BlackBerry devices, JiveTalk connects to most IM services, all at the same time... NOT-free, trial available."

All 3rd party apps that access data will use the same APN setting. The setting is dependent on your carrier / service provider.
