    * The service will limit its search to a 5 mile radius - so the point about driving 10 miles to save on gas is moot (although some may not want to travel 5) - it will also provide you with a long list of options, so you can read through them and decide how far you are willing to go and if its worth it.

    * You can also "search along your route" - so that you the gas stations presented to you are those that are already on your way to your end destination.

Actually mine searches a 10 mile radius that's why I mentioned it

Maybe the search is based on how many it finds in your area, since I live on a dead end dirt road in the desert.....I think a 5 mile search radius would only give me 2 choices.

So whether its based on current Telenav version or by location....either way, Telenav delivers and provides a very valuable service!!!

This will def. come in handy, but usually the difference in prices would be just a few cents right?

This is included on Microsoft Live Search for my Pocket PC phone. I wonder why it's not on the BB version?

Its a nice feature of telenav, but what I have found is the info is usually out of date and when I pull into a station its $.10 more than what telenav says it is. I prefer gasbuddy2go.com as it is driver reported prices and has the largest pool of users than any other site/system. I frequently use thier website(s) ie Seattlegasprices.com, portlandgasprices.com, Boisegasprices.com, montanagasprices.com, etc etc, they have state and major metro area versions depending on your location. Also they give you the last date/time the price was reported so you can tell if its out of date, or was just reported 10 minutes ago.
