I'm interested in this product, but would like to know much more about it before signing up. Is the service going to be limited by the carriers? Will this be an Additional fee service. Does the carrier have to have an agreement with QuickPlayer before I can use this product/service. There is a lot of information on the website, but no specifics.

Dmoltke, yes it is. The version that is shown running on the 8100 is actually the .jad file for the 7130.

We are looking at a few options to make it available. We want this out on the market as soon as possible and the carrier certifications can take a while given the complexity of billing integration etc. Ultimately we think it makes more sense that it shows up as a line item on the carrier bill to make it simpler for business users who expense their BlackBerry to also expense this service given the business content. But we know we have a great service on our hands and want to get it out there as quick as possible.

We expect this to be an additional fee for the service, but a nominal one at that. It's premature to say more until we get some of the next deals done with the carriers to launch and finalize a review of some of the alternatives.

I am very excited about this!!

But I don't have a lot of confidence in Cingular supporting this as they still don't support BB Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger.

exciter, non support by Cingular doesn't always mean it doesn't work on Cingular, although with this app it might. Cingular has two levels of non-support. Cingular does not support BB Messenger, but it still works on Cingular as they don't have to do anything to allow it to run. Yahoo Messenger doesn't work because Cingular would have to provide the Service Books for it. If you haven't installed BB messenger on you 8700, because of the disclaimer, go ahead and give it a try, works great. I've been using it since it came out.

Thanks Rcbjr. BB Messenger is now installed. Thanks to codymac he has provided the Cingular service books for Yahoo Messenger. It works perfectly!
