I am on T-Mobile and I have tried both the proxied and direct connections and still get the Network Time Out error. Any ideas?

I am using a moto H500 and it does not in my case work with bluetooth.
that's promising to hear someone on TMO is using this app successfully. I'm only getting timeout errors.

    Enjoy!

Yeah. I did everything I could think of. Apn changed the search engine, change it to direct, turned off wifi. I don't know what else to do. I'm running t-mo os 4.2.2.180. I even uninstalled and tried again and I'm still stuck at the 4th step.

Thats why it wouldn't work with me as im UK....I suspected as much.
I couldn't find anything to say it was US / Canada only on their site though.

So its free to everyone...as long as you live in USA / Canada

It should be able to launch BB Msgr. There is NO excuse for that whatsoever.

Hayden knew yesterday that this would not launch until a day later, yet he chose to let people twist in the wind with words like in the coming hours. That IS a cheap way to generate traffic, regardless of users on this forum.

I agree vlingo someday could be really great, but it needs to be able to do the basics first. BB Msgr is absolutely a basic. And launch speed is another basic. Not sure why its sooooo slow to launch apps after you say "Open anything".
Vlingo is working with their own resources to bring us this application, so we have to work with what they can provide. With our feedback, I'm sure they will fix everything they can as soon as they can if possible. If you have such an issue with it, send them a feedback report through the application.

Hayden knows how us Stackers enjoy "new toys," and the excitement from his "If you read this" was fun. So I say thanks for the heads up Hayden and ^5.

As for BBM, that is all part of RIM's API I believe, and no 3rd party apps can access RIM applications until they release their API to 3rd party developers. That's not Hayden's fault or Vlingo's fault. They did an amazing job with a first release for BlackBerry.
    BlackBerry Rocks!<-Check it out!

As for those that can not get it to work with TMO i am using the .184FW so this may or may not be the reason it doesn't work for you? Everything works great so far.

I'm running 4.5.0.44 on an 8310 and it setup fine, I sent myself a note without issue. Then I tried to do a Web Search and suddenly it couldn't understand me so I did a battery pull. Now the app won't open and when I click on the icon I get a message telling me to set my wifi app permission to "allow". Everything is already set to allow and I don't have wifi. I have done 2 battery pulls so far and rechecked security permissions 3 times. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    As Always...

    Happy Berrying!!

Well, I downloaded Vlingo and installed and when I try to run it I get:

    Error starting VlingoForBlackberry_en: Module
'vlingoforblackberry_en_4 attempts to access a secure API

I set all permissions to Allow with the same results. I guess being on 4.5.0.37 may be the problem.
