I've never had the need to set up my BB as a modem, so don't know the procedure, but there are many posts about success with using BBs as modems. I doubt that this would take away that capability.

Even if they release 4.2.x.xxx for the 7290, you won't get anything more that GPRS with it.

Hope this Helps
Rcbjr.

Don't know if some of these are the same as on the Pearl, but I'll add to N8's list:

Ability to save RSS feeds as bookmarks within the Blackberry Browser. And easily allows you to send items from address book, calendar, memopad and media.

Thanks Ben. I am sure there are other things that I forgot also. I was meaning to update this post but completely forgot and my mind went somewhere else. Hah.

I'm sure more details will come out soon and we'll have a full report to mull over... And we're all awaiting the release!

Re: Confirmed Notes/Features About 4.2 OS (Non Pearl)

Would you please confirm that it will support .wav file attachments?
Will it work with the Verizon 8703e?

I just can't wait. I hear that T-mo is due sometime in March. Guess that's the best I can get, not about doing the BETA thing.

Re: Confirmed Notes/Features About 4.2 OS (Non Pearl)

I have the Pearl 8100 the track ball fell off and i was issued with a replacement, however, now when i receieve pictures via blackberry messenger they never get saved into my pictures. When i am sent an image via messenger i click on SAVE and type in a file name which says it is saving to my pictures folder however when i go to the pictures folder it isnt there and i do not have the option to save the picture again as it says it is already saved?!?!?
I receive MMS pictures and can save them but am having this issue with messenger. Any suggestions before i spend 2 hours on the phone to TMobile support? Thanks.....
