i dont think the one you dowloaded will work on a cdma phone correct? i get errors when i try to install on a 8703e

Any potential release dates for OS 4.2 from RIM?

I will wait for the officially release, just need to know how long.

OH, and what about GPS? I got a bluetooth puck ready to go....

He means can you use it for an internet connection over bluetooth. I'm curious to know too.

It's not dial-up networking if you use the BB as a modem with the Data Network. That's more of a LAN/DSL/Cable Modem type connection.

Dial-up means using the BB to dial into a different ISP and use it as a modem the way you would a landline before DSL and Cable modems. That's why I was asking.

it will start to install and get a fatal error saying incompatable files blah blah blah? how come it is gsm only?

That I cant answer, but the reason I asked for your errors cause I was trying to manipulate the OS and put it on my 8703e. I was successful up to a certain point, but cant figure out where to go from here. I worked on this for hours and hours, but I am positive I will not be fully successful.

CDMA/GSM versions are not cross compatiable. Everything that has been said so far about 4.2/GSM is true of the 4.2/CDMA, but the leaked versions is for GSM

I was wondering if 4.2 allows you to dial **99***1#, which gets you a GPRS, EDGE or HSDPA internet connection.
