    i would advise against buying a bold unless you get it in person and can exchange it (due to structural defects)... ive had a bold since one day post release, and im on my second handset. we actually had to open 3 boxes to find a good one when i went back to exchange mine... the display model, the first one i had, and 2 we opened were faulty. the third we opened when i went back was ok. if you get a bad one via a mail service you'll have a swell time getting it exchanged for a good one.

    According to Amazon's site, if you are "eligible for an upgrade" via AT&T then you can get the special pricing by renewing your contract via Amazon.
