Re: bPhone Theme gives the powerful BlackBerry the iPhone look

Heyy....

I've OTA'd and DM'd the "bPhone Today" theme and everytime on the main screen my icons are "cut". Only a portion of the icon shows.

Any reasons? PM ME PLZ

I'm rockin' the 8130.

Thanks for the help!

While I can certainly appreciate the work that went into this, and how nice it turned out, it still amazes me at the number of people who want their BB's to look like iPhones.

It's like purchasing a new BMW & and then taking it to the body shop to have it redone to look like a Mercedes?

For me, it's not a matter of making it look like an iPhone. It just happens to be that the icons used by the iPhone are clear, simple and easy to recognize. Compare the bPhone to the default T-Mobile Dimension theme or the AT&T blue and orange theme; bPhone's icons are easier to decipher.

I've been using the theme for 6 months, and it's awesome. I've seen retail iPhone themes that aren't nearly as clean, elegant or useful.

I liked it so much, I donated to the guy after 2 months usage.

Kudos! Great response.

You make some very good points which I find quite valid.

I believe in your case, it makes a lot of sense & you have made the choice for reasons that work for you.

For clarification, I'm not an iPhone detractor, as the more competition in the market place the better. It's just that there is a segment of the Apple culture than can be very arrogant which I find disgusting. This despite the fact that I myself have been a long time customer & Apple laptop user.

Then conversely, I will admit that I'm very PRO BlackBerry as they happen to be the best of the lot, in my experience. In addition I find BlackBerry users & the RIM culture highly intelligent, friendly, open, accomodating and very enjoyable to be a part of.

Cheers!

HELP!!! Product installed fine but too busy for my eyes. My browser icon disappeared and I haven't been able to get it back. Anybody able to help me with this, I'd appreciate it.

it should come back on its own (happens a lot when downloading new themes) if it does not, register handheld -- options/advanced options/host routing table .. then choose menu/register now

I downloaded the themes last week and I love the clownfish theme. It looks great on my white 8100 pearl. I had an olive green gel skin that I had not used yet and I put it on to go with the vibrant green background with the fish. It looks awesome together, so of course I changed my trackball to green as well.

LOVE the look and the icons.

P.S. I read a thread on here about the new phone coming out in green and people didn't like it, but the green on my phone looks cool I'm Irish, what can I say....

Theme is great. Any way to change the mail view font (not when I actually read a message) but when I click the message icon. The font is very smallTks
