RIM has launched the Blackberry Women and Technology Awards 2008 and applications are now being accepted.
The awards, now in their third year, aim to celebrate the achievements of women using technology, both within and beyond the IT sector.
According to Charmaine Eggberry, RIM's Vice President and Managing Director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, despite women making up more than 50 per cent of Britain's working population, they are still underrepresented in IT.
"The BlackBerry Women & Technology Awards … support and celebrate women who have demonstrated passion and dedication in their lives and work through the innovative use of technology," she stated
