    BlackBerry trade-in offer

    Advertisement

    I thought I posted this yesterday, so forgive if it's a double.

    I discovered a trade-in offer on the BB website. You enter the the type and condition of what you've had (Treo, in my case) and the BB you're getting (or got within the past 30 days) and it gives you a quote. My Treo will get me $85 when I send it in.

    Those things are such a scam. You can sell on eBay fro much better then the trade in program offers.

    Definitely try ebay first...I too just sold my Treo 750 on ebay and I was able to get $300. If you can wait for the transaction to finalize and you don't need the money right away, it may be worth it.

    Often true, but it's worth doing a little homework first and look at eBay completed listings to estimate what you might get for it. To trade in my Treo, I'd do better on eBay. To trade in my son's Samsung A920, I'd do better with RIM's offer (with less work).
    Palm Pilot-->Handspring Visor-->Treo 300-->Treo 600-->Treo 650-->Treo 700p+E62-->Treo700p+Curve (8300)-->Curve (8330)-->Tour (9630)

    It's interesting...there are completed listings that sold for a lot more, and others in similar condition and similar member ratings that didn't get a single bid.

    you need a decent seller rating to get the most $$$ on ebay, otherwise you might be wasting your time as nubes on ebay are seen as scam artist till proven otherwise. start small sell a couple of item cheap so buyers know your for real ...then try to sell an expensive item
